Jazz Haven Sessions

In 2017 I mentored two new members of the Jazz Haven Board as we launched a new jazz series in New Haven. The concerts are two sets, with the host band playing an opening set and then they back the jam session for the second.

The Sessions are an opportunity to build community in the jazz scene with Jazz Haven fostering the pedagogy that traditionally existed between older and younger musicians.

From a marketing perspective, the communication of the event was tricky, with the challenge of having one piece that clearly conveys two venues on alternating weeks.
